Laser Hair Removal Tips + My First Experience at Novopelle

I'm sharing my first laser hair removal experience at Novopelle Med Spa and my top laser hair removal tips. Plus check out this great offer! thinkelysian.com

Before my first laser hair removal session I was scouring the internet for laser hair removal tips. If you are like me and have olive skin & thick, dark, coarse hair shaving is a nightmare. I have always had such a hard time shaving. I would have to wait 2 weeks minimum to shave otherwise I would get horrible razor burn. Not to mention even when I had the closest shave possible my hair was so dark you could still see the hair underneath my skin. Lose-lose-lose!

Laser hair removal is PERFECT for travelers. I don’t know how many times I’ve been on a tropical vacation worrying about my unshaved legs like when we went cave-tubing in Belize and a stranger had to hold my hairy legs. haha! My days will be filled with way more adventure when I don’t have to worry about the task of shaving.

Laser hair removal is my solution to my hairy problems. Novopelle Med Spa helped me answer all my questions at our consultation and gave me some great tips that I want to share with yall. Everyone at Novopelle is so nice and welcoming. It made my first laser hair removal experience go so smoothly!

My laser hair removal tech drew gridlines on my legs with white eyeliner to track where she had completed. It all went by so my faster than I expected! It was way less painful that I thought it would be. The machine spit out a shot of laser and then a shot of cold air so the hot and cold alternating made the process a 3 on a pain scale 1-10.

I already notice the difference under my arms. My hair is growing slower and when I shave it is super smooth – which it has NEVER been. I haven’t noticed a difference yet with the hair growth on my legs or bikini area, but I will update yall. Stay tuned to see my laser hair removal before and after!

You have to check out Novopelle’s membership program Novo Pass! With the Novo pass you get full body laser hair removal along with 13 other services like facials, microdermabrasion, micro-needling, and more starting at only $99 per month.

Laser Hair Removal Tips

  1. Shave with a brand new razor. The sharper the razor the smoother the shave! You don’t want any stubble to make the process as effective as possible.
  2. Stop tanning & stay out of the sun. Your skin should be as light as possible so the light can easily find the dark pigment of your hair follicle.
  3. Schedule your session after your period. The week before your period your pain sensitivity is heightened. Go easy on yourself and avoid the unnecessary pain!
  4. Exfoliate! Exfoliating will be your best friend during this process. Be sure to exfoliate before you shave to achieve the smoothest legs before your laser hair removal treatment. After your treatment, exfoliate your legs to help those hairs fall out of the dead hair follicle.
