Affordable Rentals in Paris + My Travel Style

Affordable Rentals in Paris + What I'd Wear! // thinkelysian.com

Ah, Paris *insert emoji with heart eyes*. A lovely blogger friend of mine Nicole from Lipstick and Brunch just went on an amazing trip with her hubby (check out her post about Paris!). Like most of you, Europe is a dreamy vacation spot for me. So I decided to take a look in to the rental market to find some affordable rentals in Paris for you (and me) to keep our dream alive for that day we finally get to take our cheesy, touristy photos with the Eiffel Tower. You can find some gorgeously charming flats in the heart of Paris for an amazing price! Live like a Parisian in the desirable 12th district! Every time I see House Hunters International (which is a lot because I am an HGTV addict) I am constantly taking mental notes and more often than not those hip cool cats moving to Paris want to be in the 12th district. Now, don’t be expecting some lavish 3000 sq ft apartment with marble floors and fur throws – Paris is notorious for tiny flats (like New York City), but your flat is not what it’s about! Go out and experience Paris through food and art and the beautiful historical monuments! It’s not about what your flat looks like – but I have to admit these are still pretty cute.. :)

From a guest: “He checked in with us during the stay to ensure that everything was fine. The apartment has everything you need, and provided a comfortable stay! The location is great, very close to the metro and a large number of restaurants and shops. We slept with the windows open and so could hear that the area was very noisy, both from constant traffic and the crowds of people partying – but this should not deter you from renting the place. All in all we could not have asked for a bette place from which to explore the city!” Esti, September 2015

From the host: “The flat is very close to DUGOMMIER metro station (subway). The flat has a small private flowered courtyard very pleasant for outdoor dining.. The 12th district is a popular and lively neighborhood, close to the Palais Omnisport de Paris Bercy (POPB) ARENA and Cour Saint Emilion where you will find a multitude of restaurants, a large cinema complex and varied shops all next a wooded park. You can walk safely at night. The very famous Aligre market is a 5-minute walk from the studio. The building is surrounded by small shops (bakery, grocery, pharmacy) and several restaurants.”

Latin Quarter Studio

1 bed/1 bath

$88 per night

From a guest: “Even more comfortable and beautiful than it looks in the photos. When I first made this reservation, Stephane had no reviews so I went on looks and some friendly email exchanges alone. But already the raves are pouring in as I’m sure they will continue to. With the courtyard and wooden beams you feel like you are time traveling–except that the kitchen and bathroom are brand new with every convenience, including a washer. The location is central but quiet and Stephane gave us a great guide he’d created to both the apt and the neighborhood. He also waited on the street for us when we arrived. He is a gem and the apt is terrific.” -Perdita, October 2015

From a guest: “Panagiotis was an awesome host. He met us at the apartment. He was very helpful with questions we had about the city. The apartment was perfect for my husband and I. The location is GREAT! We would definitely stay here again. :) thank you Panagiotis!” Silvia, October 2015

From the host: “Ideally situated at the heart of the historic center of Paris, this very quiet two rooms apartment is a real haven of peace for your stay in the city of light, at a walking distance from the main attractions of the city (the Louvre, the Marrais, the Montourgueil area with it’s trendy shops and restaurants, etc.).”
